WELCOME TO THE BIS-MAN TRANSIT DEVELOPMENT PLAN

BIS-MAN Transit in collaboration with the Bismarck-Mandan Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is developing a Transit Development Plan (TDP). The Purpose of the plan is to:

  • Work with residents and community leader to understand strengths and weaknesses of the current Bis-Man Transit system
  • Identify desirable changes to the system to better serve current customers and potential users
  • Prepare a plan of vehicle, facility, and service concepts to meet need and can be funded today and into the future

The Bismarck-Mandan MPO and Bis-Man Transit have completed the final report for the Transit Development Plan. Please view the report and appendices with the buttons below. A newsletter addressing transit funding and closing the current gap is available here.

The MPO and Bis-Man Transit will be accepting public comments on the Transit Development Plan. You can provide comments via email to Bill Troe at btroe@srfconsulting.com, post them on the comment form here or by attending public hearings.

For the scenario of identifying additional funds for transit service, a number of fixed route service enhancements have been identified. Each can be reviewed through the link below. While reviewing, you can also leave comments regarding your perception of each alternative.
